Those Who Help You Tell Your Story
Courtnie Scott-Cammarata, LMSW (Supervised by James Ahearn)
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker, and my passion is helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical support. My background is in working within large systems, so I understand both the systems we sometimes have to work within and the deeply personal experiences that shape each person’s journey.
In my practice, I take a collaborative, strengths-based and eclectic approach, drawing on principles that focus on the here and now, self-awareness, and exploring how we relate to ourselves and others. That means our work together isn’t just about “talking it through”—it’s about noticing patterns, making meaning from your experiences, and finding ways to live in alignment with what matters most to you. I also integrate evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique needs, values, and circumstances.
I especially enjoy supporting neurodiverse children and their families, members of the queer community, and adults navigating the transitions and identity shifts that often come in midlife. Gestalt’s emphasis on authentic connection and present-moment awareness can be especially powerful in these times of change, creating space for clarity, self-compassion, and genuine growth. Whether I’m working with children, teens, or adults, my goal is always to create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where you can grow, heal, and thrive in the present.
