Those Who Help You Tell Your Story
Emma Grady-Pawl LMSW (Under Supervision of James)
As a therapist, I celebrate the infinite worth and dignity of every person who walks through my door. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full, joyful life—even in the face of deep pain or systemic injustice.
I am passionate about supporting people living with chronic illness or pain, exploring identity, navigating life transitions or new diagnoses, and seeking a space to be their authentic selves and clarify their goals. As a member of the queer community and someone who understands the experience of living with a disability, I offer a space where those realities are honored.
I enjoy working with diverse populations and have experience with clients with disabilities, older adults, and individuals returning to the community after incarceration. I recognize the unique grief that can arise when navigating life in a world not built with our bodies or identities in mind.
I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and draw from trauma-informed modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I use warmth, humor, and compassion to help my clients feel safe, supported, and deeply seen. I aim to help clients connect with their values, uncover strengths, and discover tools to create meaningful lives and relationships. You are the expert in you, and my role is to be curious about who that is.
